Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Patient Wellness Advocate to join our team in a pivotal role that bridges patient care with operational efficiency. This role serves as one of the initial points of contact after an order is received, responsible for assessing patient needs, coordinating necessary services, and advocating for both the patient and our company throughout the process. As we continue to refine and define this position based on patient experiences, your input will be crucial in shaping the role to ensure optimal patient care and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for patients, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Act as a problem solver and advocate for patients, navigating the complexities of medical equipment supply to streamline processes and enhance the patient experience.
  • Collaborate closely with store managers, vendors, industry experts, and other stakeholders to align with our strategic direction set by the COO.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for business growth and process improvement, leveraging patient feedback and industry insights.
  • Obtain and maintain minimum industry-required certifications to ensure compliance and proficiency in patient care and equipment knowledge.
  • Access and update patients’ records in Brightree, our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Become proficient in running applicable financial and sales reports in Brightree to support operational decision-making and patient care strategies.
  • Stay informed and proficient in marketing trends, practices, and expectations within various treatment modalities to effectively support patient needs and business objectives.
  • Follow up with patients to anticipate future needs and ensure ongoing satisfaction, understanding insurance requirements and coverage to best serve them.
  • Conduct follow-up surveys with patients 90 days after service delivery, compiling feedback and providing actionable insights to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Task follow-up duties as needed to ensure seamless coordination and communication between patients and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified in Mastectomy Fitter
  • Strong empathy and a genuine commitment to patient care and advocacy.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to understand business operations and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Proficiency in financial and sales reporting within Brightree or willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of marketing trends, practices, and expectations within various treatment modalities.
  • Problem-solving skills to address patient needs and operational challenges effectively.
  • Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and growth.

Contractor Status and Travel: This role is a 1099 contractor position (or equivalent as per local regulations) and may require travel as needed for business and patient engagements. Travel costs will be mutually agreed upon and specified in the contract between the contractor and Barber DME Supply Group, LLC.
