
Reserve Store Associate
The Reserve Store Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the Barber DME Supply Group retail location. This role assists patients with product selection, processes orders and payments, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures the sales floor and work areas remain organized, safe, and compliant with company and regulatory standards. The Reserve Store Associate supports inventory management, follows established policies and procedures, and contributes to a positive, professional, and efficient environment for patients, caregivers, and team members.
Essential Duties

Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service.

Fills out contract forms, determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records and issues discontinuance orders.

Solicits sales of new or additional services

Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.

Visits customers at their place of residence to investigate conditions preventing completion of service connection orders and to obtain contract and deposit when service is being used without contract.
Key Responsibilities

Customer Service: Greet patients and provide friendly, professional assistance while addressing questions and product needs.

Product Knowledge: Educate customers on DME equipment, supplies, and basic usage instructions.

HIPAA Compliance: Maintain patient confidentiality and follow privacy and security regulations.

Inventory Control: Stock, organize, and monitor inventory levels; report low-stock items.

Merchandising: Ensure products are properly displayed, clean, and accessible on the sales floor.

Order Fulfillment: Prepare, verify, and stage orders for pick-up or delivery.

Store Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.

Policy Adherence: Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.

Problem Resolution: Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.

Team Support: Assist with opening/closing duties and support daily store operations.

Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training to remain current on products and compliance requirements.

Time Management: Prioritize tasks to ensure timely service and operational efficiency.
Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred:
-
Access to military installations with an active DoD ID.

Bilingual
-
Previous experience in a DME, medical supply, or healthcare setting.

Knowledge of DME products and their applications.

Familiarity with insurance coverage, billing processes, and medical documentation

Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
